On 25 and 26 February 2026, at the premises of the South East European University in Tetovo, organized by ABSL, “Global Digital City 2026” will be held — a regional event focused on strengthening the competitiveness of the ICT and BPO sector through new talents, partnerships, and innovation.
Under the motto “Gain a Competitive Edge through New Talents and Partnerships,” the event will bring together companies from the information and communication technology sector, business leaders, startups, young professionals, policymakers, and representatives of academia, with the aim of fostering economic growth, employment, and long-term competitiveness of the respective sectors in North Macedonia and the region.
“Global Digital City” is designed as a practical platform where discussions aim at delivering concrete outcomes. The first day will focus on panels and keynote speeches on innovation through artificial intelligence, digital policies, talent development, and enhancing business competitiveness. At the center of the debate will be aligning education with the needs of the technology sector, as well as creating conditions for the development and retention of human capital.

The second day will be action-oriented. Companies will present their open positions, conduct meetings with candidates through structured “speed networking” and “business matchmaking” sessions, and carry out interviews in dedicated spaces. At the same time, training sessions and workshops on digital skills and employability will be held, along with an exhibition area designated for signing cooperation agreements.
With this approach, “Global Digital City 2026” aims to create concrete connections between businesses and young talents, generating real employment opportunities and sustainable partnerships.

The event is supported by RECONOMY, a regional programme for inclusive and green economic development, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe and other regional partners.
Global Digital City 2026 is expected to attract participants from North Macedonia and the wider region, positioning Tetovo as an important hub for cooperation between business, academia, and the new professional generation.
